In 2022, the average glass fibre filament import price amounted to $1,627 per ton, growing by 21% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.9%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from the United States ($1,628 per ton) and South Korea ($1,627 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,627 per ton) and China ($1,627 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
