Moreover, Turkey emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +38.8% from 2012-2022. Brazil experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of China (+6.9 p.p.), Turkey (+3.8 p.p.), India (+3.6 p.p.), South Korea (+1.8 p.p.), Spain (+1.8 p.p.) and the Netherlands (+1.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2022, the share of the Czech Republic (-1.7 p.p.), Mexico (-4 p.p.) and Brazil (-7.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest gas and smoke analyser importing markets worldwide were the United States ($965M), China ($867M) and Germany ($796M), together accounting for 34% of global imports. South Korea, France, the Czech Republic, the UK, the Netherlands, India, Spain, Mexico, Turkey and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.
