Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, the Netherlands (+26.1%), South Korea (+14.5%), Mexico (+12.2%), the Dominican Republic (+6.4%), Singapore (+5.5%), France (+5.2%), Poland (+4.5%), Italy (+3.8%), Germany (+3.7%), the UK (+1.8%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+1.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +26.1% from 2012-2022. The United States experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. China (+4.7 p.p.), the Netherlands (+4.4 p.p.) and South Korea (+1.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while the United States saw its share reduced by -3.5% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest eye make-up preparations supplying countries worldwide were France ($608M), China ($552M) and Germany ($544M), together comprising 36% of global exports.
