Dry Vegetable Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
The average dry vegetable export price stood at $4,280 per ton in August 2023, reducing by -8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated measured growth from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, dry vegetable export price decreased by -8.0% against July 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 49% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $4,651 per ton in July 2023, and then reduced in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Spain ($6,197 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($2,422 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dry Vegetable Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
The average dry vegetable import price stood at $3,480 per ton in August 2023, jumping by 21% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 37% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,845 per ton. From May 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($7,015 per ton), while the price for India ($1,797 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dry Vegetable Exports in Poland
For the fourth consecutive year, Poland recorded growth in overseas shipments of dry vegetables, which increased by 28% to 40K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +15.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +54.0% against 2019 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, dry vegetable exports reached $107M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +10.3% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 17%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Dry Vegetable Imports in Poland
