Decaffeinated Coffee Price in Latvia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average decaffeinated coffee export price amounted to $8,558 per ton, surging by 7.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a pronounced slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $16,246 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Estonia ($8,795 per ton) and Russia ($8,303 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($7,848 per ton) and Belarus ($8,015 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average decaffeinated coffee import price amounted to $11,997 per ton, surging by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($21,463 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($7,021 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Decaffeinated Coffee Exports in Latvia
In 2022, approx. 67 tons of decaffeinated coffee were exported from Latvia; picking up by 8.8% on 2021 figures. In general, exports recorded a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 97%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
