Crispbread Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2023

In August 2023, the average crispbread import price amounted to $2,043 per ton, waning by -13% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate slight growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 16% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,445 per ton. From June 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,178 per ton), while the price for France ($1,093 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average crispbread export price amounted to $12,520 per ton, growing by 179% against the previous month. In general, the export price posted a strong expansion. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($13,639 per ton), while the average price for exports to Croatia totaled $3,191 per ton.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+11.4%).

Crispbread Imports in Slovenia

In 2022, approx. 684 tons of crispbread were imported into Slovenia; waning by -9.8% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 2.5% against the previous year.

In value terms, crispbread imports declined rapidly to $1.3M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a deep setback. Crispbread Exports in Slovenia

In 2022, overseas shipments of crispbread decreased by -4.5% to 232 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +19.2% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +69.3% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 52%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 243 tons, and then declined modestly in the following year.

In value terms, crispbread exports dropped to $942K in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 87%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $1.1M, and then declined in the following year.
