In 2022, the average copper wire import price amounted to $5,810 per ton, declining by -17.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 28%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $7,647 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
