In 2022, the average copper; master alloys export price amounted to $9,803 per ton, declining by -3.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed resilient growth. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $11,653 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($9,721 per ton), while the average price for exports to China amounted to $9,319 per ton.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (-10.4%).

The average copper; master alloys import price stood at $12,458 per ton in 2022, growing by 24% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average import price increased by 39% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $13,080 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, copper; master alloys exports surged to $3.2M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a significant expansion from 2020 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +22.4% over the last two years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +49.8% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 27%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
