The average commercial printing import price stood at $14,235 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -6.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a slight increase from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, commercial printing import price decreased by -34.8% against March 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 36% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $21,845 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($79,874 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($1,997 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
