Citrus Fruit Price in Bulgaria (CIF) - 2022
The average citrus fruit import price stood at $612 per ton in 2022, standing approx. at the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.5%. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.3% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, citrus fruit exports expanded markedly to $42M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +13.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +46.3% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 27% against the previous year.
