The average chlorides; of aluminium import price stood at $798 per ton in January 2022, picking up by 70% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a noticeable expansion from January 2021 to January 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on January 2022 figures, chlorides; of aluminium import price increased by +79.3% against November 2021 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, overseas shipments of chlorides; of aluminia decreased by -90.6% to 34 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, exports recorded a dramatic decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 78% against the previous year.
