Cauliflower and Broccoli Price in Ireland (CIF) - 2023
The average cauliflower and broccoli import price stood at $1,871 per ton in June 2023, falling by -7.1% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 19% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,180 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Kenya ($4,325 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,504 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cauliflower and Broccoli Price in Ireland (FOB) - 2022
The average cauliflower and broccoli export price stood at $2,261 per ton in 2022, waning by -5.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a mild increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In 2022, purchases abroad of cauliflower and broccoli decreased by 0% to 8.9K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 5.9%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 15K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
