Buckwheat Price in India (FOB) - 2022
The average buckwheat export price stood at $657 per ton in 2022, falling by -10.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a mild increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 74%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $733 per ton, and then reduced in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,421 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($352 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+16.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average buckwheat import price stood at $1,250 per ton in 2022, rising by 663% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate prominent growth. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Switzerland.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +1.6% per year.
