The average bovine animals; live export price stood at $1,439 per unit in September 2023, almost unchanged from the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 6.1% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,528 per unit; afterwards, it flattened through to September 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to North Macedonia ($1,673 per unit) and Bosnia and Herzegovina ($1,530 per unit), while the average price for exports to Albania ($1,266 per unit) and Montenegro ($1,424 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Libya (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
