Beeswax Price in Canada (CIF) - 2023
The average beeswax import price stood at $8,350 per ton in September 2023, waning by -22.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 18% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $11,756 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($12,330 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($4,222 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average beeswax export price amounted to $9,607 per ton, jumping by 22% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.1%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($9,855 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($4,986 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Beeswax Imports in Canada
Beeswax imports into Canada contracted to 321 tons in 2022, which is down by -10.7% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports showed a mild descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 37%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 360 tons, and then reduced in the following year.
