Once fertilized, the kernels on the ears begin to develop and mature. Maize crops are typically ready for harvest between 60-120 days after planting, depending on the variety and growing conditions. Harvesting involves the removal of the ears from the plants, either by hand or with the help of mechanized equipment.
Importance of Maize
