Over the period under review, imports showed a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 109%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X square meters. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, photographic paper imports fell notably to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 70% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

The United Arab Emirates (X square meters), France (X square meters) and China (X square meters) were the main suppliers of photographic paper imports to Nigeria, together accounting for 34% of total imports. These countries were followed by Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan and Germany, which together accounted for a further 10%.
