Overall, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, cherry and sour cherry exports fell sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then fell sharply in the following year.

In 2022, Spain (X tons) and Greece (X tons) were the key exporters of cherries and sour cherries in the European Union, together resulting at approx. X% of total exports.
